Verdict up front: a reviewer who used this app for a long time reports that two separate 500,000-coin withdrawals simply vanished on the way to his wallet. Thirty-six people marked that review helpful. The app’s own terms say in advance that it accepts no responsibility and cannot recover anything.
SHIB Cloud Miner is published by WOX Dex. On the day we checked it showed 2.9 stars from 362 reviews and 10,000+ downloads, with in-app purchases.
What you are actually buying
This app sells rental mining equipment, priced in Indonesian rupiah, in seven levels. Its own description sets out the terms before you buy:
From the store listing
“Every purchase of Miner Tools has an active mining period of 30 days from the date of purchase… Miner Tools purchased are only valid for 1 device, cannot be moved or transferred… We are not responsible if Cloud Miner Tools is lost due to uninstalling the app, system data is damaged, your cellphone is damaged, or moving to another device… We cannot help recover any data due to human error for any reason.”
Read that as a list of ways to lose what you paid for. Change your phone and it is gone. Uninstall the app and it is gone. Have a device fault and it is gone. And in every case the answer is written down in advance: not responsible, cannot recover.
Thirty days is also short. Whatever you buy expires before most people would reach a meaningful balance, which means the purchase is not an investment in future earnings. It is a subscription with a mining animation.
The withdrawals that disappeared
The most-endorsed review on the listing is from JE K, dated 23 October 2024. Thirty-six people marked it helpful, and notably it is not an angry review — he begins by saying he likes the app:
“Don’t get me wrong it is a good mining app. It’s relatively cheap to buy the coin, but out of the tens of millions coins that I have withdrawn to my trust wallet, twice now a 500K transaction just disappeared, never made it to my wallet. There are times I sent a message to customer service multiple times never got an answer back. Just keep an eye out folks when you were withdrawing. I screenshot every time I do.”
That last sentence is the tell. A user who has learned to photograph every transaction is a user who has learned the record cannot be trusted.
A second reviewer, Shawn Douglas, wrote on 12 September 2025 about a paid package: “The 400k 13.99 package even using the same Google account the coins are not showing the balance. I hope the app developers can help me retrieve the missing shiba inu coins.”
He paid $13.99. The coins did not appear. He is asking publicly for help, on a listing where the developer has already stated it cannot recover anything.
The pattern across both SHIB apps
This is the second Shiba Inu mining app in this series, from a different developer, and the structure is identical: buy tools with real money, accumulate a balance, submit a withdrawal to a BEP20 address, and find that the terms explaining how coins get lost were written before you arrived.
Both apps sit under 3 stars. Both have hundreds of reviews. In this category, the rating is doing its job — people are reporting back, and the average is telling you what they found.
What to do instead
- Treat “we are not responsible” as a forecast. Companies write that clause because they expect to use it.
- An expiry date on mining equipment is a subscription. Price it as one, then ask whether 30 days can realistically reach the payout.
- Check the token price against a real exchange before buying in-app.
- If you use one of these anyway, screenshot every withdrawal — as JE K learned to. It is the only record you will have.
If a withdrawal has gone missing
Screenshot the transaction record inside the app before anything changes, and check the wallet address on a public block explorer — if no transaction exists on-chain, nothing was ever sent. Request refunds for in-app purchases through Google Play directly. If money left your account and nothing came back, report it at IC3.gov — reporting is free, and no legitimate service asks you to pay before your money is returned.
