RigMiner — flagged app

RigMiner — Pay to Install, Then Mine Two Whole Bitcoin

Verdict up front: RigMiner: Bitcoin Miner Cloud is a paid app that also sells mining plans — and the withdrawal screen in its own Play gallery prints “Minimum Withdrawal: 2 BTC”. A user writes that no one can reach it and that you cannot withdraw even if you buy the most expensive plan.

Two charges before the first satoshi

Most mining apps are free to install and make their money from ads and upgrades. RigMiner charges twice: once to download, then again for plans. The description says the app “allows you to mine Bitcoin from anywhere using cloud technology”, with “no need to invest in expensive hardware”.

The “Withdraw BTC” screen shows a wallet ID field, an amount field and three lines: Minimum Withdrawal — 2 BTC. Available Balance — 0.0000000001. Transaction Fee — 0.0005. The next screen, “Withdrawal History”, reads “No withdrawals yet”.

That is not a complaint from a user. It is the developer’s own marketing image. Two Bitcoin is a six-figure sum in US dollars. The available balance shown beside it is one ten-billionth of a Bitcoin.

What users say

Io Ia, 14 March 2026: “no one can actually reach the withdrawal limit of 2 whole BTC”, which “takes an eternity to mine” — “unable to withdraw even if you buy the most expensive plan”; it would still take more than six months to cash out, by his estimate. Roger Max, 9 September 2025, was unsure whether 2 BTC could be reached “without investing more money” but expected to upgrade anyway.

The second review is the more revealing. A customer who cannot see a path to the threshold is still planning to buy the next plan. That is what the design is for.

The same threshold on other listings

A 2 BTC minimum is not unique to RigMiner. We found the same figure described by users of Giga BTC Mining and Pro Miner Bitcoin Miner Cloud, each published under a different developer name. It is a recurring setting, not an oversight.

A year without an update

The listing was last updated on 9 August 2025. An app still charging for plans a year after its last update is collecting money, not running a service.

Before you pay any mining app

Four checks take less than two minutes. Read the full description for the words simulation, virtual or for entertainment. Find the withdrawal minimum and compare it with what one day of “mining” adds. Look at the Play category and the developer name: a mining app filed under Tools or Productivity, or published under a personal name or a string of keywords, is avoiding scrutiny. Then sort the reviews by newest and read the one-star ones about withdrawals. If none of those checks passes, the only safe amount to spend is nothing.

  • Paying to install a mining app is the first fee, not the last.
  • Look at the withdrawal screen in the gallery. If the minimum is in whole Bitcoin, stop.
  • “No withdrawals yet” on the developer’s own screenshot tells you what you need to know.
  • Check the last-updated date before paying for a plan.

If you have already paid

Cancel any subscription in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions), not inside the app. Request a refund through Google Play while the charge is recent. Screenshot your balance, the withdrawal screen and every purchase before anything changes. Then report it at IC3.gov, or to Action Fraud in the UK.
