The word that does not belong
The homepage promises “La Crypto Simple et Sécurisée pour tous les Français” and then lists what is on offer: “Vos actifs, trading professionnel, épargne crypto et services bancaires — tout en un.” Your assets, professional trading, crypto savings and banking services, all in one.
Banking services is not marketing language in France; it is a defined activity. Taking deposits and providing payment accounts requires authorisation from the ACPR, and the authorised institution is listed in a public register. CRYPTOVER names no bank, no partner institution and no licence.
The same applies one line earlier. Providing crypto-asset services to French residents requires PSAN registration with the AMF. There is no registration number on the page.
⚠ Verified evidence — checked 23 September 2026
- cryptover.org is on the French AMF blacklist, added 25 June 2026.
- The domain was registered on 19 May 2026 — four months old.
- It advertises “services bancaires” alongside trading and savings, with no bank named and no banking licence shown.
- It offers épargne crypto — crypto savings — which implies a yield it never quantifies or explains.
- The site explicitly targets French residents: “pour tous les Français”.
- No PSAN registration number, company name or address appears anywhere on the page.
“Épargne crypto”
A savings tab sits beside the spot market. The word épargne carries a promise in French that “yield farming” does not: it suggests a deposit that sits safely and grows. Crypto savings products are neither. They lend your coins out, they are not covered by any deposit-guarantee scheme, and when the borrower fails the depositor is last in line. Several of the largest such products in the last cycle ended in exactly that way.
CRYPTOVER does not publish a rate, a term, a counterparty or a risk statement for its savings product. There is nothing to assess.
A convincing surface
The page looks the part: a live price ticker across the top, a spot list with 24-hour moves and seven-day sparklines, an Assistance 7/7 badge. Real market data is cheap to embed and it is doing the work that a licence number would do on a regulated exchange. Prices you can verify elsewhere say nothing about who holds your coins.
Check an exchange in two minutes
Search the AMF blacklist at amf-france.org, then the PSAN register on the AMF site, then the ACPR’s REGAFI for anything calling itself a banking service. An exchange that appears in none of the three, but promises all three activities, is telling you what it is.
If you have already deposited
Stop sending money, including any “tax”, “release fee” or “compliance payment” demanded before a withdrawal — those requests are the scam continuing, not the end of it. Screenshot your account page, the deposit record and every message before anything changes. Tell your bank or card issuer at once and ask about a chargeback or a recall; the clock matters more than the amount. Then report it to the AMF at amf-france.org and to your own national regulator.
Our view: CRYPTOVER advertises banking services and crypto savings to French residents from a four-month-old domain with no PSAN or ACPR registration, and it is on the French blacklist. Do not deposit.
