Mining Now — flagged app

Mining Now — Buy the Equipment, Then No Withdrawal

Verdict up front: Mining Now sells cloud miners and a VIP tier and says that once you acquire rigs you can “begin generating returns”. A buyer reports that it will not let him withdraw any amount to any wallet after spending money on equipment. The app is filed under Tools and rated Mature 17+ for cash rewards.

“Returns”

The description is short: “This is a cloud-based mining application; it does not perform any mining operations directly on your mobile device. All mining hash power is deployed entirely in the cloud; you can acquire cloud-based mining rigs through various methods and then begin generating returns.”

Returns is investment language. It describes money coming back on money put in. No company, licence or regulator is named on the listing, and the developer, Abuzzwine, gives no address.

What a buyer reports

Robert Purcell, 1 September 2026

Will not let me withdraw any amount to any wallet. Totally bogus app just to rip you off. You spend money to buy equipment and then can’t get what you have mined or even a small portion of the amount. Avoid this app at all cost. Don’t give them a single penny.”

Mixed reviews, and why they are mixed

Not every review is negative. Jonathon Adkins, 22 July 2026, says he withdrew a few sats. Edward Freeman, 30 August 2026, paid for VIP and was surprised when boosts began arriving without ads after an update.

That spread is typical of these apps. Small withdrawals early on earn good ratings; the complaints come from buyers who spent money on equipment and then tried to take out what the dashboard showed. Robert Purcell’s review is the one written from the far side of a purchase.

Tools, and Mature 17+

Two details on the listing are worth a second look. The app is filed under Tools rather than Finance, a category dodge we have documented on several mining listings. And its content rating is Mature 17+ with “Cash Rewards” — a label Play applies to apps that offer money, and one most users never read.

Before you pay any mining app

Four checks take less than two minutes. Read the full description for the words simulation, virtual or for entertainment. Find the withdrawal minimum and compare it with what one day of “mining” adds. Look at the Play category and the developer name: a mining app filed under Tools or Productivity, or published under a personal name or a string of keywords, is avoiding scrutiny. Then sort the reviews by newest and read the one-star ones about withdrawals. If none of those checks passes, the only safe amount to spend is nothing.

  • “Returns” from an unnamed operator is an unlicensed investment offer.
  • A few sats early on do not mean a larger balance will be paid.
  • Test a withdrawal before you buy any equipment, not after.
  • Check the content rating. “Cash Rewards” tells you what the app is really selling.

If you have already paid

Cancel any subscription in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions), not inside the app. Request a refund through Google Play while the charge is recent. Screenshot your balance, the withdrawal screen and every purchase before anything changes. Then report it at IC3.gov, or to Action Fraud in the UK.
