Verdict up front: this app shows you a withdrawal screen and asks where to send your Ethereum. Its own terms say the balance is fictional and cannot be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged for anything. One reviewer points out it offers to send ETH to a Bitcoin wallet — two different networks, which is not a thing that can happen.
ETH Mining : Ethereum Miner is published on Google Play by Routh’s. On the day we checked it showed 4.6 stars from 946 reviews and 10,000+ downloads, and carried both ads and in-app purchases.
The disclaimer nobody reads, quoted by someone who did
The store description calls the app a simulation “designed for entertainment and educational purposes.” That much is fair. The problem is what sits on top of it: a mining dashboard, a worker system, boosts you can buy, and a withdrawal flow.
A reviewer named Suman Senapati went and found the fine print, on 11 August 2026:

“All in-game coins, tokens, and values displayed in the App are fictional. They hold no cash or crypto value, cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for money, Etherium, USDT, or any digital asset.” His summary: “NO PAYOUT HERE! DON’T WASTE TIME!”
A simulation that says so is a game, and there is nothing wrong with a game. But a game does not normally need to tell you that your balance cannot be withdrawn — because a game does not normally offer to withdraw it. This one does both.
The withdrawal that cannot work
On 24 July 2026 a second reviewer, Neha Jadhav, raised something more specific. She had reached the withdrawal screen and noticed what it was offering:
“this app is funnier when it comes to withdraw, someone with half knowledge of Cryptocurrency knows difference between eth and btc and they both had different networks each so… developers of this app needs to give me explanation about how this app is going to let me withdraw eth to btc wallet.”
She is right, and it is worth understanding why. Ethereum and Bitcoin run on separate blockchains with separate address formats. You cannot send ETH to a BTC wallet address any more than you can post a letter to a phone number. A withdrawal form that accepts one for the other is not a broken feature. It is a form that was never connected to anything.
Six miners and a birthday video maker
Routh’s developer page is worth thirty seconds of your time. Alongside this app it lists five more cryptocurrency miners — BTC Mining: Hash Bitcoin Miner, AI BTC Mining: Bitcoin Miner, USDT Miner: Cloud USDT Mining, BTC Miner Crypto Cloud Bitcoin, USDT Mining Cloud Crypto Miner.
And alongside those: a birthday video maker, a mehndi design app, a profile picture maker, a name-video editor and an IQ quiz.
That is not the catalogue of a crypto company. It is the catalogue of a studio that ships whatever is currently getting installs, and right now that is mining apps. Six of them, each a different currency, each with ads and purchases.
How to tell a mining game from a mining trap
- Does it have a withdrawal screen? An honest simulator has a score. It does not ask for your wallet address.
- Find the terms before the fun. If the terms say the balance cannot be withdrawn, no amount of tapping will change that.
- Check the networks match. An app offering to pay ETH into a BTC address does not understand crypto, or is counting on you not to.
- Look at what else the developer makes. Six miners and a mehndi app tells you how much crypto expertise is behind it.

If you have already spent money in it
In-app purchases are refundable through Google Play, not through the app — request it from Google directly and keep the receipt. Never enter a wallet address, seed phrase or private key into an app like this. If money left your account and nothing came back, report it at IC3.gov — reporting is free, and no legitimate service asks you to pay before your money is returned.
