Alderstone Holdings presents itself as a discreet private investment firm: “Excellence in wealth preservation and long-term growth. Built on discipline. Driven by partnership.” Ontario’s OSC has warned about alderstone-holdings.org, a warning shared through IOSCO’s I-SCAN network in October 2026. The domain was registered on 20 February 2026.
Counters that start at zero
In the page source, the headline figures read “$0M+ Assets Under Management”, “0+ Clients Globally” and “0+ Global Markets”. When you scroll, a script animates them up to “$450M+”, “1,300+” and “15+”. The numbers are a front-end effect, not data from any account.
| Claim | On screen | In the HTML |
|---|---|---|
| Assets under management | $450M+ | $0M+ |
| Clients | 1,300+ | 0+ |
| Markets | 15+ | 0+ |
Six cities, no street
The site lists a “Global presence” in Zurich, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Oslo and Sydney, but gives no street address, no phone and no email — only a “Get in touch” form and a chat bubble. Its canonical link points to alderstone-holdings.com while its pages live on .org. It makes no regulatory claim at all, and its disclaimer says the site “is for informational purposes only”.
⚠ Data points
- OSC warning via I-SCAN, October 2026.
- $450M+ AUM that is $0M+ in the source.
- Six offices, no address.
- Domain registered 20 February 2026.
How to vet a private investment firm
- Ask for the legal entity name and its registration number, then check both in the official company register of that country.
- Ask which regulator supervises it. In Canada, check the CSA National Registration Search; in the UK, the FCA register.
- Ask for a street address and visit it, or at least look it up. A firm with six global offices can name one of them.
- Be wary when the only contact route is a web form or chat window.
