Ten per cent a month
The third screenshot carries a badge reading “10% Monthly Roi”. The fourth reads “80% + Winrate”.
Take the first at face value. Ten per cent a month, compounded, is a little over 213% a year. Sustained for three years it turns £1,000 into roughly £30,000. No fund, bank or trader publishes that as a standing expectation, and the ones who claimed something close to it are the case studies in every regulator’s fraud material.
The win rate is the subtler claim. Eighty per cent winners tells you nothing without the size of the losses: a strategy that wins 80% of the time and loses four times as much on the other 20% breaks even before costs. Win rate is quoted precisely because it sounds like performance and is not.

The package is com.GoldApp.myapplication. When you start a new project, Android Studio names it My Application and generates a package ending in myapplication. Developers rename it before shipping. This one did not.
It is a small thing, and that is why it is useful: it is the one part of the listing that cannot be edited after publication, and it records how much care went into the build. An app selling financial advice to fifty thousand people never got past the default project name.
The developer field
The publisher is listed as Crypto News Bitcoin BTC Cryptocurrency ETH News. That is not a company; it is a search string, chosen so the listing surfaces for anyone typing any of those words. Google Play’s developer name is free text, and here it is being used as an advertising slot.
Where the conversation moves
The screenshots advertise Telegram and WhatsApp channels. Once you are in a private channel, there is no refund route, no store policy, no review thread and no record anyone else can see. Signal operations move users there deliberately, and it is usually where the paid tier and the broker referral link appear.
Check a signals app in one minute
Read the badges as claims, not decoration: any promised monthly return is a claim a regulated firm would have to evidence. Then tap the developer name. If it reads like a search query, you have learned who you are dealing with.
If you have already paid
Cancel the subscription in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions — not inside the app, where cancelling often does nothing. Request a refund through Google Play while the charge is recent. Screenshot your balance, the withdrawal screen and every purchase before anything changes. If you handed over exchange API keys, delete them in your exchange account now and create new ones. Then report it at IC3.gov, or to Action Fraud in the UK.
Our view: Gold Forex Signals promises 10% a month and an 80% win rate from a publisher named after search keywords, on a package still called “myapplication”. Do not pay for its calls.
